Purpose and independence
GoldRateUpdate.net is an informational publisher. We do not buy, sell or broker gold, and editorial pages are written to help readers interpret rates and shop quotes without presenting personal investment advice.
Rate and calculation standards
Every published rate should identify currency, weight unit, purity, geography, effective time and status. Direct observations, calculated conversions, stale values and unavailable values must remain distinguishable.
- Never display a missing value as zero
- Never attach a new timestamp to an old observation
- Keep unit and purity conversions consistent
- Separate indicative metal value from retail charges
- Do not label sample data as live
Educational content
Guides should answer a distinct user task and link to the relevant rate, tool or methodology page. Claims about benchmarks, exchange rates or standards should use primary references where practical. There is no word-count target and keyword repetition is not an editorial goal.
Automation and review
Software and AI-assisted tools may support calculations, drafting, quality checks and formatting. Public content remains subject to editorial review for factual consistency, page purpose, disclosures and internal links before publication.
Commercial boundaries
If advertising, sponsorship or dealer relationships are introduced later, they must be labelled and kept separate from rate calculations and editorial judgement. Paid links must use the appropriate link qualification.
